The processes of textile manufacturing (II) - Nordic Quilt

We keep telling you more about the textile manufacturing processes! And is that in this second installment of the serial (remember you can read the first, in which we talked about the Digital stamping, HERE) let's talk about How a Nordic Quilt is made.

As on the previous occasion, at the end of the post you will see a video in which we illustrate all this that we are now going to tell you in great detail.

Materials

The fibers we use in the manufacture of a Nordic Quilt are 100% polyester of Asian origin. In the first part of the video, you will see how the fiber is processed. It is a process that consists in undoing the fiber in small particles to introduce inside the quilt. This allows to achieve a very soft, breathable and very comfortable touch in each of the Nordic Quilts.

Padding

Once the fibers are processed, we use the tube ducts that you will see in the video to get them to a machine that feeds fibers into the quilting machine. The feeding machine is in charge of supplying the necessary fiber to make the Quilt. Depending on the needs of orders, you can from 100 grs to 1.000 grs by m2.

Along with the fabric, the quilting machine is also responsible for sewing the fabric and fibers by joining them so that they remain inside the Quilt and there is no risk of them leaving or moving. Once the quilting process is finished, the Quilts are manufactured, leave the machine and remain stacked pending the process of edging.

Bound

Edging is the process in which a ribbon is placed around the Quilt to be completely closed and finished. It is a process that can also be seen in detail in the video.

Creased

Once the binding has been completed, the final process is reached. For the folding automatic machines are used thanks to which a quilt is obtained completely finished in its case. And it is ready to be sent to the different points of sale!

As you will see in the video, the process for manufacturing a Quilt is fully automatic and, for this, we always use the latest technologies in textile machines.

All Duvet Fillings Nordic Creaciones Euromoda they have the certification for comfort items and bedding articles for bedding. In addition, they are breathable, antiallergic and machine washable.
