SAFE FOR YOU, SUSTAINABLE FOR THE PLANET ”. AN INITIATIVE THAT COMMITS TO UNE 0065 CERTIFIED REUSABLE MASKS
More and more people are becoming aware of how the use of single-use masks is harming the planet. Every day we can see in the news the amount of waste that this type of material generates and that ends up in our streets, beaches, forests or rivers.
To find a solution to a problem that gets worse every day (In Spain, half of the population uses a disposable mask per day, which represents more than 600 million masks per month in circulation), A group of entrepreneurs from the textile sector of the Valencian Community has come together to form the GROUP OF MANUFACTURERS OF REUSABLE MASKS (GFMR). This group aims to publicize and enhance the benefits, not only for the individual, but also for the planet of the importance of using UNE 0065 certified reusable masks.
Through the project #commitmentwiththefuture, gfmr wants to raise awareness of the need to take care of our environment through responsible consumption of this type of essential material to guarantee our safety and that of others, against COVID-19. To do this, launch "Safe for you, sustainable for the planet". An initiative that aims to offer a safe and sustainable solution to the problem generated by disposable masks, since the group offers the possibility to companies, organizations, institutions and individuals to be able to acquire this type of hygienic, reusable and UNE 0065 certified masks.
To do this, the gfmr have created a website (www.compromisoconelfuturo.com) where the user can discover the wide range of washable customizable masks (in materials, colors and finishes) and find the model that best suits your needs. In addition, a campaign will also be carried out through online media to be heard and reach as many people as possible with the ultimate objective of highlighting this serious problem for our environment, and presenting a much more sustainable solution through the certified reusable masks.
